Description: One finger pier inside the protected Bay of Samana. Some use for cruise vessels and sporadic use for cargo.

Anchorage: Deep water anchorage available in several places in Samana Bay. It is highly recommended that the pilot be consulted for the best locations.

Equipment: None at Berths 1 and 2. Crane and conveyor belt system for gypsum at Berth 3.

Water: Supplied from pipe on pier, at a rate of 6 MT/hr.
Bunkers: By tank truck from Santo Domingo
Ship repair: Some shore facilities for topside repairs are available. There is a small graving yard in the port, but the facilities are not the best. Please inquire at our Agency for more information.
Medical facilities: First aid and emergency services only. Nearest hospital is at San Francisco de Macoris, about one hour by car.
Airport: Las Americas Int’l Airport (Santo Domingo) is 150 km. from the port.
